The reigning and only UFC flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson, will make his 10th title defense against savvy veteran Wilson Reis in the main event this Saturday, at UFC on FOX 24 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson takes on Wilson Reis in the main event.

Since capturing the inaugural UFC flyweight championship in 2012, Johnson has been on a tear. Having made nine successful title defenses against the very best flyweights in the world. Dominating the likes of John Dodson, John Moraga, Joseph Benavidez, Ali Bagautinov, Kyoji Horiguchi, Henry Cejudo and Tim Elliott.

Meanwhile, Reis has won three straight, capturing a unanimous decision over Dustin Ortiz at UFC on FOX 18. Followed by a first round rear-naked choke submission over Hector Sandoval at UFC 201. Most recently Reis earn a unanimous decision over Yuta Sasaki at UFC 208.

Johnson and Reis were originally scheduled to serve as the co-main event at UFC 201, but Johnson was forced out of the bout.

Rose ‘Thug’ Namajunas battles Michelle ‘The Karate Hottie’ Waterson in the co-main event.

Namajunas hasn’t fought since a closely contested split decision loss to top contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 201. Prior, Namajunas earned three consecutive victories over Angela Hill, Paige VanZant and Tecia Torres.

Waterson is currently 2-0 inside the Octagon. Submitting TUF alum Angela Magan via rear-naked choke at The Ultimate Fighter: American Top Team vs. Blackzilians Finale. This past December at UFC on FOX 22, Waterson scored a quick first round submission over Paige VanZant. Capturing her first ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.

Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza vs. Robert Whittaker

Top UFC middleweight contender ‘Jacare’ returns to the Octagon against surging contender Robert Whittaker.

Since dropping a split decision to #1 ranked middleweight, Yoel Romero, ‘Jacare’ has put on two dominating and furious performances. First taking out former UFC light heavyweight champion and MMA legend, Vitor Belfort, via TKO in the opening round at UFC 198. Followed by another first round finish (kimura) over Tim Boetsch at UFC 208.

Whittaker has gone 5-0 since making his UFC middleweight debut. Having earned hard-fought victories over Clint Hester, Brad Tavares, Uriah Hall, and Rafael Natal. In his last outing, Whittaker scored a first round TKO (head kick and punches) over rising contender Derek Brunson in the main event at UFC Fight Night 101.
