Nate Diaz explains why he accepted then unaccepted the Tony Ferguson fight.
There is no secret that top ranked UFC lightweight contender Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson has been campaigning for a fight with Nate Diaz at UFC 213. Even going as far as calling out the Stockton bad boy and using the Diaz’s own slogan against him, “don’t be scared homie’.
Wednesday, on a special edition of The MMA Hour, host Ariel Helwani was joined by Nate Diaz via video chat.
Diaz explained the reason for not accepting the UFC 213 bout against Tony Ferguson. Explaining he would fight under certain circumstances, but was ignored. To only decide that Ferguson and Conor Mcgregor should fight each other. Diaz says he’s not going to do Mcgregor’s dirty work for him.
Nate Diaz doesn’t want a third fight against Conor Mcgregor
We have not seen Nate Diaz inside the Octagon since his majority decision loss to Conor Mcgregor last August at UFC 202. Mcgregor evened up the score one apiece, making fans all over the world anticipating a third fight between the two MMA stars. Since than Mcgregor went on to capture the UFC lightweight championship, while Diaz has been out of action.
Everyone seems to think Diaz wants a third fight with McGregor, but that is not necessarily the case. Even though he lost their second fight via a majority decision, Diaz firmly believes he whooped McGregor’s ass and should have gotten the victory. Saying he’s 2-0 against the Irishmen.
