The much-anticipated rematch between UFC light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier and former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will headline UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2. Taking place this Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

UFC 214: Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones 2

The two bitter rivals first squared off in 2015 at UFC 182, with Jon Jones putting the first and only blemish on Daniel Cormier’s record. Securing a unanimous decision victory over the former Olympian. Within the past two years, the rivalry has only escalated in full on hatred for one another.

After the win, Jones has endured suspensions from legal issues to failed drug test. Which many of you have heard over the past two years. Now in a better place in life and hungrier than ever, Jones looks to take back the title he never lost. Jones has had only one fight in the past two years, earning a unanimous decision win over the tough and durable Ovince St. Preux at UFC 197.

Cormier went on to capture the UFC light heavyweight title against dangerous striker Anthony Johnson after UFC stripped Jones due to his legal issues. Cormier defended his title twice against Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson in a rematch. In between title defenses, Cormier earned a unanimous decision over former UFC middleweight champion and MMA legend, Anderson Silva at UFC 200.

UFC 214: Tyron Woodley vs. Demian Maia

Woodley captured the UFC welterweight title with a first round knockout over Robbie Lawler at UFC 201. After having such a spectacular knockout over a tough opponent, expectations were high for the champ, but then followed two close and questionable fights against Stephen Thompson. The first ending in a draw and the second seeing Woodley get the majority decision win. Woodley wants a decisive and dominating win over Maia.

Maia is riding a seven fight win streak, most recently earning a hard fought split decision victory over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 211. Prior, Maia scored notable submission wins over Neil Magny, Matt Brown and former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit. Now Maia will look to make good of his long awaited welterweight title shot.

Dana White has already announced the winner will face the greatest welterweight of all time and former UFC champion Georges St. Pierre later this year.

UFC 214: Cris “Cybrog” Justino vs. Tonya Evinger

Cyborg has demolished her first two octagon opponents. Scoring a TKO over Leslie Smith in the opening round at UFC 198 and a second round TKO over Lian Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 95. Since the UFC featherweight champion, Germaine De Randamie refused to face Cyborg the UFC stripped her of the title. Originally Cyborg was to fight Invicta featherweight champion Megan Anderson but had to withdrawal due to personal reasons. Cyborg will now face veteran and Invicta bantamweight champion, Tonya Evinger for the vacant UFC featherweight title.

Evinger has been unstoppable, currently on a 10-fight win streak. A veteran of over 11 years, having fought a who’s who of the bantamweight and featherweight divisions. Cyborg will be the toughest and biggest challenge of Evinger’s career, but an upset win will be life changing.
